“The rescue cream has been amazing for our 15 month old baby boy who has suffered from baby eczema almost his whole life. We have tried other products, changing the soaps we use and diet changes and none of those worked for us. We used the rescue cream and within a weeks time all of his eczema was gone! Plus this stuff smells AMAZING and I know that what I’m using on my baby is free from all those junky chemicals!” Veronica

Key Ingredients:

Manzanita (Arctostaphylos viscida), a common hardy shrub with its chocolate-color bark and pastel-green leaves brings many medicinal benefits along.  Manzanita possesses a high amount of active constituent arbutin, which is known to break down in the body into a series of chemicals, such as hydroquinone, glucuronide, and hydroquinone sulfate – all known as antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial agents.  Manzanita is quite astringent, and its leaves, when applied externally as a wash, are used to alleviate poison ivy or poison oak rashes.

Borage Oil (Borago officinalis) is a well-known healer among other plant-derived oils. Incredibly high levels of the fatty acid - gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) - makes Borage oil a strong anti-inflammatory agent. The oil is powerful yet gentle enough to be used on the most delicate skin of babies and toddlers. The oil also supports their healthy growth and central nervous system development.

St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) with its ruby-red medicinal oil is a master soother for not only nerves but also complexion issues.  This multi-purpose herb is mostly known for its ability to help fight depression and seasonal blues; however, its benefits for skin are also impressive. St. John’s Wort helps to remedy damaged tissues as with minor tears and scrapes, reduces inflammation and soothes irritations and minor pains associated with them. The herb is rich in antioxidants and possesses antimicrobial properties, which helps to keep the skin clean as with rashes. St. John’s herb oil is known to boost blood circulation and is proven helpful with scalds, burns and excessively sensitive skin.

Calendula (Calendula officinalis) is known as one of the best tissue-mending herbs in nature. By action, Calendula has an incredible ability to speed up the healing time of minor wounds and soothe inflammations.  Extensively used for its medicinal properties, Calendula is known to relieve also painful swellings and bruises. This precious herb is also noted for its antibacterial and antimicrobial nature, as well as praised for its antioxidant effect.

Plantain (Plantago major) is an undeniably superior tissue-healing herb. High in mucilage and cooling by action, Plantain is used in ethnobotany as an excellent soother in cases of sunburns, painful swellings, and abrasions. Plantain is nature’s first aid against yellow jacket sting as well as other insect bites. This herb contains a significant amount of vitamins A, C, and K – all beneficial for compromised skin. Plantain is also a good astringent with a mild antibacterial effect.

Zinc Oxide in its safe non-nano version creates a wonderful occlusive shield on the skin without any whitening effect.  Zinc oxide is known to protect against UVA and UVB rays and is often used as a natural, non-toxic agent in sunscreens. The mineral is among essential minerals necessary for healthy functioning of the body and is known to help ward off infections and inflammations when taken internally. Zinc by action is known to promote tissue healing, especially when combined with antioxidants like vitamin C and E.

Sesame Seed Oil (Sesamum indicum) is long-praised for its ability to naturally block the harmful sun rays. Highly nutritious Sesame Seed oil supports the circulation and is known to slow down the appearance of visible aging signs by providing hydration, vitamins, and minerals necessary for healthy-looking skin. This oil is especially beneficial to mature skin. Sesame Seed oil is one of the richest oils in palmitic and linoleic acids, both essential fatty acids vital to a radiant complexion.

Carrot (Daucus carota sativus) is a powerful source of antioxidant beta-carotene which converts into vitamin A in the body. The oil is also rich in vitamin E - highly beneficial to a healthy complexion. Thought to help with sun protection, carrot seed oil is often used in sunscreens.  This remarkable oil is soothing by action while fortifying the skin with essential minerals and vitamins necessary to achieve younger looking complexion.

Sea Buckthorn Oil (Hippophae rhamnoides) Carotenoid-rich Sea Buckthorn oil is an unparalleled deliverer of crucial vitamins and minerals to the skin. A well-known healer of tissues due to its high vitamin C content, this oil serves as a strong protector from the UV damage which leads to premature aging.  Highly moisturizing, Sea Buckthorn helps to speed up minor wound healing. This oil effectively combats wrinkling and sagging of the skin, providing hydration and mineral boost where it is needed most.

Oats (Avena sativa) are known for their gentle, soothing touch to the skin. Highly nutritious, mineral-rich oats are naturally soothing and calming due to the high levels of moisturizing properties they possess. Oats are effective anti-inflammatory agents with strong antioxidant properties capable of protecting the tissues from harmful sun rays as well as oxidative stress. Oats are known as effective healers and are a top remedy to reach for in cases of itching. Tender and skin-loving oats also have wonderful cleansing abilities with a light foaming action once agitated in liquid. The high concentration of vitamin B1, B2 and E and the minerals zinc and magnesium makes oats a powerful tool against dull and lusterless complexion.  Oats are most beneficial to sensitive and problematic skin prone to dryness and flaking.

Helichrysum Essential Oil (Helichrysum italicum) has been used to help protect the skin from sun damage and inflammations for centuries.
